Sixteen Weeks

The first few weeks went by so slowly! Keeping the most exciting secret of your life, well, a secret, is HARD! And then the nauseous set in, and the days ticked by even more slowly…. But finally, the second trimester is here and (although I'm sleeping more than I've ever slept in my cognizant past) I feel much better and the weeks are hurrying along.

Today marks 16 weeks. I should be having my second appointment, but we couldn't fit it in until next Monday. Ah, well. Patience, patience. According to the trusty internet, the baby is about the size of an avocado. Fun!

It's still a little crazy to think about the fact that there's a little human soul inside of me, but the ultrasound is only two weeks away, and once I can see the baby, I think it'll be all the more real.
